The first year allows leveling and consolidation of basic knowledge. Subjects include fundamental sciences ranging from biology to physics and chemistry. More specific courses such as introduction to pharmaceutical sciences are also offered: drug and society capsule I, and pharmaceutical sciences. A strong emphasis is placed on practical work from the first year. The first-year program is taught in Lausanne, Neuchâtel and Geneva and coordinated with the ISPSO curriculum. Pharmaceutical science teachings are shared among the three universities.

In addition to continuing pharmaceutical sciences (galenics, biopharmaceutics, thematic modules, etc.), the second year introduces basic medical sciences (anatomy, bacteriology, etc.) and continues selected fundamental sciences (organic chemistry, biochemistry, etc.). Teaching is organized through interdisciplinary thematic modules. Academic partners contribute to specific courses. Interprofessional education is introduced. Practical work continues extensively.

The third year completes the first cycle with the Bachelor degree. Teaching continues with specialized topics and interdisciplinary modules. Practical work continues, covering the drug lifecycle from synthesis to analysis. Students gain strong foundational pharmaceutical knowledge.
