Master in Pharmaceutical Sciences
This program is open to holders of a Bachelor in pharmaceutical sciences from a Swiss university or equivalent. The Master degree grants access to the federal exam leading to the pharmacist diploma and allows pursuing a PhD. The program spans two years: a theoretical first year followed by a second year largely dedicated to internships.

Master in Pharmaceutical Sciences
1st year
The first year focuses on specialization. Students deepen drug-related knowledge from discovery to commercialization, including modeling and data analysis. Professional pharmacy practice topics are also taught. Legal, regulatory and health communication aspects are introduced. Students choose elective courses, are introduced to vaccination, and continue interprofessional training with practical simulations and interdisciplinary projects.

2nd year
The second-year programme comprises practical placements : research, pharmacy, hospital and humanitarian work. Students have the option of gaining mobility experience during these placements.
During this second year, students complete a 20-week research project within the Section’s laboratories and/or those of its partners. They also undertake a 20-week placement in a community pharmacy. In addition, a course on hospital pharmaceutical care is offered, the third module on interprofessional collaboration and a 2-week course on pharmaceutical services. Five weeks of optional internships complete this programme, with the option to extend either the community pharmacy or research placement, or to undertake a placement in any other field (such as humanitarian work).
During this final year, students consolidate their knowledge and develop the skills essential for practising as a pharmacist.
